Peec AI vs Profound: a published price against a demo call

By Giovanni Rasulo Updated Prices checked September 2026

Short answer

Pick Peec AI if you want to start tracking how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers mention your brand this week: its Starter plan is $95 a month, self-serve, with unlimited users. Pick Profound if you are an enterprise team that wants tracking, prompt-demand data and an AI agent that drafts content in one platform, and you are ready for a sales process: after a free 7-day trial, every paid plan is a custom Enterprise quote. The $99 and $399 Profound plans you will see in most comparisons no longer exist.

Peec AI and Profound are the two names that come up most in AI visibility tracking, the category also sold as GEO or AEO: measuring how often, and how favorably, AI assistants mention your brand when people ask questions a search engine used to answer. Search for this comparison and nearly every result prices Profound at $99 and $399 a month. That includes Peec's own comparison page. Profound's current pricing page lists neither plan: there is a free trial, then an Enterprise tier with the price on request.

So the honest version of this comparison starts somewhere else. It is not a $95 plan against a $99 plan. It is a tool you can buy with a card against a tool you buy through a demo.

Monthly billing, checked against each vendor's pricing page in September 2026. Peec shows prices by region: US dollars above, euros in the EU, where annual billing lowers Starter from EUR 85 to EUR 70 a month. Profound also runs separate agency plans without a public price. Extra AI models on Peec are a paid add-on per model.

What a month of tracking actually covers

Both tools sample AI answers: they run a set of prompts through each engine and record what comes back. The useful number is how many answers you get to analyze.

  • Peec Starter: 50 prompts across 3 models, checked daily, which Peec itself puts at about 4,500 AI answers a month. Pro raises that to about 13,500 and Advanced to about 31,500.
  • Profound Trial: 50 prompts across 3 engines, daily for 7 days, so roughly 1,050 answers in total. Enough to see whether the product fits, not enough to run a program on.

Beyond the trial, Profound builds a tailored prompt tracking plan per customer, so there is no public equivalent to compare.

Choose Peec AI if…

  • You want real numbers this week, not after a procurement cycle.
  • You are an SEO lead, a small marketing team or an agency, and $95 to $495 a month is a budget you can sign off yourself.
  • Everyone on the team should have a login without paying per seat.
  • You mainly need to know where you stand against competitors and which sources to work on.

Choose Profound if…

  • You are an enterprise brand with security requirements such as SSO and SOC 2.
  • You want prompt-demand data and an AI agent that drafts content in the same platform as the tracking.
  • You need broad engine coverage and a tracking plan built around your markets and languages.
  • A sales process and an annual contract are normal for your team.

Who should stay where they are

Stay on Profound if you already run it at Enterprise level and use its content agents: switching to Peec would mean giving up the drafting side and rebuilding your prompt set. Stay on Peec if your prompt count fits your plan and you never needed a vendor to write content for you; moving to Profound would add a contract, not visibility.

Cheaper options, and what to check first

Neither tool is the cheapest way to start. Otterly AI Lite is $29 a month ($25 billed annually) for 15 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini as add-ons and unlimited team members.

If you already pay for Ahrefs, Semrush, Surfer or Moz Pro, check their built-in AI visibility features before adding a platform; the details are in our AI visibility tools guide. Tracking is not the same as being cited

Peec and Profound tell you where AI answers mention you and which pages they draw on. Neither makes your site worth citing on its own; that still comes from publishing useful, well-structured content that answers the questions your buyers ask. Profound's AI Marketer covers part of that on Enterprise. If you are on a smaller budget and the gap is simply that the content does not exist yet, that is a production problem.

GrowGanic is built for it. It is an autonomous SEO engine: add a domain and it researches the keywords, writes and scores the articles, publishes them to your site or a hosted blog, and tracks the rankings. On a paid plan it publishes every weekday. It is not a dedicated AI visibility tracker and has no backlink index, and, by GrowGanic's own account, the hosted copy of the free article stays out of Google until the plan is paid (connecting your site or a subdomain first avoids that), so pair it with one of the trackers above rather than replacing them. Frequently asked questions

Is Profound still $99 a month?

No. Profound's pricing page lists only a free 7-day trial and a custom Enterprise plan. The $99 and $399 monthly plans that many comparisons still quote are no longer offered.

Is Peec AI cheaper than Profound?

Peec AI is the only one of the two you can buy without a sales call: Starter is $95 a month, Pro $245 and Advanced $495 on monthly billing (EUR 85, 205 and 425 in the EU). Profound's paid access is Enterprise only, priced on request, so a direct price comparison is not possible.

Which AI engines do Peec AI and Profound track?

On its self-serve plans Peec tracks three models you choose from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Naver AI and Gemini, with more as paid add-ons and up to 13 on Enterprise. Profound's trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; Enterprise tracks up to nine answer engines.

Do Peec AI or Profound write content?

Profound does: its AI Marketer researches, drafts content and reports, running on credits that are limited on the trial and sized to the team on Enterprise. Peec is primarily an analytics tool; its agent generates recommended actions from your data rather than publishing articles.
