Scrunch AI alternatives: cheaper, free and what to check
Short answer
Scrunch starts at $250 a month ($300 month-to-month) for 125 prompts, five site audits and five user licenses, and is aimed at agencies and enterprise teams. The cheapest dedicated alternative is Otterly AI at $29 for 15 prompts, then Peec AI at $95 for 50 and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 for 25. If you pay for Ahrefs, custom prompt tracking is included from Lite. One thing to check first: Scrunch's own pages disagree on whether its trial needs a card.
This is a documented comparison, not a test. Figures come from each vendor's own pages, read in October 2026; Scrunch's were read on 22 October. CheaperStack has not run prompts in any of these tools, so nothing here says which is more accurate.

From each vendor's own pages, October 2026. Per tracked prompt at entry, by simple division: Scrunch Core $2.00, Otterly Lite about $1.93, Peec Starter about $1.90 and the Semrush toolkit about $3.96. It is arithmetic, not a verdict: the engines, the audits and the analysis differ. Scrunch calls its entry plan Core on its FAQ and Starter on its pricing page.
Where Scrunch's own pages disagree
Two of its pages describe the entry plan differently, and a buyer should know which one applies.
- Card for the trial. The pricing page says a 7-day trial with instant signup and no credit card. The trial FAQ says a card is required, and that accounts upgrade to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Which engines. The pricing FAQ lists four on Core and nine on Enterprise (adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok). The pricing page lists a longer set for the entry plan.
We do not know which is current. Read the signup screen before entering a card, and ask which engines your plan includes.
Why people look for a Scrunch alternative
- The entry price. $250 is the starting point, against $29 to $99 for the other dedicated options.
- One brand workspace on Core. Several brands mean the agency tiers, from $500, or Enterprise.
- Four engines on Core, per its FAQ. Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok sit on Enterprise.
- Its page does not mention an MCP. It describes an API that returns full AI answers, citations, sentiment and competitor mentions per prompt.
The alternatives

Who should stay on Scrunch
- Agencies and teams that need audits and an API. Core includes five site audits a month, and its tiers add multi-client management and a Data API.
- Anyone who values its page-level guidance. It ranks pages by potential impact and gives technical and content guidance. It does not generate content.
- Anyone using its Agent Experience Platform. It serves an optimized version of pages to AI bots. If bots see something different from users, read Google's spam policy on cloaking first; we have not tested it.
When the gap is content, not tracking
A tracker shows where you are missing; it does not write the pages that could be cited. GrowGanic is an autonomous SEO engine: add a domain and it researches the keywords, writes and scores the articles, publishes them to your site or a hosted blog, and tracks the rankings. It is not a dedicated AI visibility tracker and has no backlink index, so it sits next to a tracker rather than replacing one.
