Guide · AI visibility for e-commerce
AI shopping visibility tools: who tracks your products, and at what price
Short answer
For a store that wants product-level tracking on a self-serve budget, Peec AI is the only tool we found that lists catalog-based product tracking on every plan, from $95 a month: upload a Shopify, CSV or Merchant Center catalog and see visibility, position and win rate per product. Otterly AI records ChatGPT Shopping Cards for your tracked prompts from $29, without a catalog import. Profound, Scrunch, Writesonic and Yotpo Discover sell shopping tracking through a demo or an Enterprise plan.
When an assistant answers "what are the best noise-cancelling headphones under $300" with product cards, prices and buy links, your brand can be mentioned and your product still missing. Brand-level AI visibility tools, the kind compared in best AI visibility tools, cannot tell you that. A shopping tracker follows the individual product: whether it appears, in which position, at what price, and which merchant the assistant sends the buyer to.
The category is new, and the pricing pages show it. Most vendors mention shopping on a feature page and say nothing about which plan includes it. This page sets out what each vendor documents, what it costs where a price is published, and what we could not confirm.

Checked against each vendor's own pricing, product and documentation pages in September 2026. Peec shows prices by region: US dollars above, euros to EU visitors. "Not described" means the vendor pages we read did not say, not that the feature is absent. Brand-level trackers such as Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar and Moz Pro price by brand prompt, and we did not find a documented product-level shopping feature on their pricing pages, so they are left out.
Peec AI: the shopping section is on every plan
Peec's plan comparison marks its whole AI Shopping section as included on Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise alike: product catalog upload, SKU-level tracking, top merchants, shopping query fanouts and shopping source visibility. There is no shopping add-on to buy. The entry price is the ordinary $95 a month for Starter (EUR 85 in the EU), and the same plan also includes Peec's ordinary brand tracking on 50 prompts.
Three ways to bring your catalog in, according to Peec's documentation:
- A Shopify store: paste the store's domain and Peec pulls the catalog from its public
products.jsonfeed. - Peec's CSV format: one product per row. Only
titleandbrandare required; price, currency, link, image and category are optional but recommended. - A Google Merchant Center feed: your existing CSV, TSV or JSON product feed.
Per product, Peec reports visibility, win rate (how often the product is the number one recommendation), position, appearances, the catalog price against the price the assistant mentions, competing products and product attributes. Products are matched against the previous 30 days of tracked chats, so the first report has history in it rather than starting empty. Peec's documentation argues that position is the metric to watch, because a buyer usually sees only the first few products before scrolling, sideways on mobile.
What we could not confirm:
- Engines. Peec's shopping documentation says tracking is based on ChatGPT today, with other models to follow, and its 29 September blog post centres on ChatGPT. Its product page also names Perplexity and Gemini. Treat ChatGPT as the confirmed engine and check the others in the free trial.
- Product limits. Peec publishes no maximum number of products.
- Prompts. The documentation we read does not say whether shopping prompts count against your plan's 50, 150 or 350 prompts.
One related detail: Peec includes MCP access on every plan from Starter, so an assistant can read shopping data directly. The comparison with other MCP servers is in best SEO MCP servers.
Otterly AI: shopping cards from $29, no catalog
Otterly takes a different route. It runs your tracked prompts on a schedule, stores every answer and records the paid units inside it, which includes ChatGPT ads and the Shopping Cards that appear: the products, their prices and the retailers surfaced to the buyer. Tracking runs by default in every Brand Report on every plan, including the $29 Lite plan, at no extra cost.
The difference from Peec is the starting point. Otterly starts from prompts and reports what appeared, including your competitors' products and who is advertising against the same question. It does not describe a product catalog import or per-product reporting against your own SKUs. For a small store that wants to see which products and retailers ChatGPT surfaces for its category, that may be enough at a third of Peec's price. For a store with hundreds of products that wants each one measured, it is not.
ChatGPT ads are live in Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, the UK and the US, and the ads tracking is limited to where they run. The wider plan comparison is in Otterly AI vs Peec AI.
Scrunch, Profound, Writesonic and Yotpo: demo territory
These four document shopping tracking but publish no price for it.
- Scrunch has a Shopping feature that captures product recommendations in AI results and classifies them by brand, competitor or third party, with price ranges, ratings, average shelf position and retailers mentioned. Its blog post names ChatGPT and Copilot, with Perplexity coming, and refers to an older plan name, so the engine list may be out of date. Its pricing grid marks Product Observability as not included on Core ($250 a month) and included on Enterprise. The blog and the grid do not explicitly link the two, so confirm which plan carries Shopping before you pay.
- Profound tracks ChatGPT Shopping only, according to its feature page: shopping visibility, attribute accuracy, shopper sentiment and SKU-level analysis. It announced the feature on 29 April 2025 to existing customers. Its pricing page lists a free 7-day trial and Enterprise, and its shopping page points to a demo rather than a plan. The pricing situation is covered in Peec AI vs Profound.
- Writesonic markets an AI Shopping Tracker with per-SKU visibility, shopping rank, share of voice, direct purchase link share and merchant routing. Its tracker page offers a 7-day free trial and a demo. Its pricing page lists Shopping and Agentic Commerce in the Enterprise plan, not on the Starter ($79), Basic ($199) or Growth ($399) cards, so what the trial includes needs confirming.
- Yotpo Discover tracks products, categories and personas across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and on-site assistants. It says it is aimed first at brands with about $10 million or more in annual sales, sells by demo and shows no price.
Check by hand first
Before paying for any of this, ask the shopping question yourself. Open ChatGPT, ask what a buyer in your category would ask ("best running shoes for flat feet under $150"), and note whether your products appear, in what order and at what price. Do it for a handful of products and repeat it a week later. It costs nothing and shows quickly whether the category is even producing shopping cards. More no-cost methods are in free ways to check your AI visibility.
Who should not buy a shopping tracker
- Service and software businesses. Shopping cards are for physical and digital goods with a price. A brand-level tracker covers you.
- Stores whose category does not trigger shopping cards. If your hand-run checks show text answers only, there is nothing product-level to measure yet.
- Stores with a handful of products. A manual weekly check and a spreadsheet cost less than the cheapest plan.
- Anyone who cannot act on the data. A tracker shows where you lose; product feed quality, reviews and page content decide whether you win.

Trackers measure. Someone still has to publish.
Every tool above tells you where your products stand. Improving that depends on things a tracker cannot do: a product feed with complete attributes, reviews, and pages that answer the questions buyers ask before they choose, such as sizing, comparisons and use cases. The last of those is content work.
GrowGanic covers that part for a store's blog or guides. It is an autonomous SEO engine: add a domain and it researches the keywords, writes and scores the articles, publishes them to your site or a hosted blog, and tracks the rankings. On a paid plan it publishes every weekday. It is not an AI visibility or shopping tracker, does not touch your product feed, has no backlink index, and, by GrowGanic's own account, the hosted copy of the free article stays out of Google until the plan is paid (connecting your site or a subdomain first avoids that), so it sits next to a tracker rather than instead of one. Try the free tier (affiliate link), which gives you one article with no card.
The verdict, by situation
| If you are… | Pick | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Wondering whether your category triggers shopping cards | A manual ChatGPT check | $0 |
| A small store watching a few key prompts | Otterly AI Lite | $29 |
| A store with a catalog, wanting each product measured | Peec AI Starter | $95 |
| Wanting shopping data in your own assistant or dashboard | Peec AI, MCP on every plan | From $95 |
| A large retailer needing several engines and support | Profound, Scrunch Enterprise, Writesonic or Yotpo, by demo | On request |
| Needing the content behind the products published | GrowGanic, free tier first | $0 to $99 |
Frequently asked questions
What is AI shopping visibility?
It is how often, and in what position, your individual products appear when an AI assistant such as ChatGPT recommends products with prices and buy links. It differs from brand visibility, which only measures whether your brand name is mentioned. A shopping tracker follows products, not just the brand.
What is the cheapest way to track products in ChatGPT Shopping?
Otterly AI, from $29 a month: it records the ChatGPT Shopping Cards, with products, prices and retailers, that appear for the prompts you track, on every plan. It has no product catalog import. Peec AI costs $95 a month and matches your own catalog to tracked chats, so it reports per product.
Does Peec AI charge extra for shopping tracking?
Not on its pricing page. The AI Shopping section, covering catalog upload, SKU-level tracking, top merchants, shopping query fanouts and shopping source visibility, is marked as included on Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise. Peec does not publish a limit on the number of products, and its documentation does not say whether shopping prompts count against a plan's prompt allowance.
Which AI engines do the shopping trackers cover?
ChatGPT is the one engine every tool on this page names. Peec's documentation and a recent blog post centre on ChatGPT, while its product page also names Perplexity and Gemini. Scrunch's shopping post names ChatGPT and Copilot, with Perplexity listed as coming. Writesonic and Yotpo Discover name several more engines.
